Claudia Steiner Born in Villach in 1967, she graduated from the Modeschule Hetzendorf in Vienna and in 1995 from the Accademia Belle Arti di Venezia. She has been living in Italy for about twenty years and, since 1996, as well as participating in art fairs in Frankfurt, Zurich, Bologna and Verona, she has also had solo and group exhibitions in Venice, Klagenfurt, Rome, Vienna, Luxembourg, Udine, Trieste, Constance, Villach, Tolmezzo, Brest, Edinburgh and Milan. Steiner has exhibited at the Kingston Museum, the National Gallery in Edinburgh as well as that of Lithuania, the Museo della donna di Scontrone, and at the Kunstverein in Karlsruhe. She has exhibited public works in Villach, Klagenfurt and Feistritz an der Drau.  With a background in painting, she has also realized installations and assemblages, photographs, fiberglass engravings, ceramic sculptures and more recently a series of large ceramic sculptures, all of which is aimed at constituting poetics that fit into a world of fantasy, overcoming all borders between realism and abstraction.
